Apps Aren’t Going Anywhere.

New data by App Annie shows massive growth for the mobile app market this quarter, with a record-breaking 26 billion app downloads and $17 billion in app-driven revenue in Q3 2017. That’s a 28 percent increase in year-over-year consumer spend.

“The growth in downloads and usage proves that apps are becoming increasingly central to people’s lives, and this value is translating to rising revenue for the industry,” writes App Annie’s Industry Analysis Manager Matt Miller.

Rising Popularity Means Increased Demand for In-App Support

As mobile apps become more popular, so does dedicating resources to independently support this channel. Mobile app users have different expectations when it comes to customer service, and expect a fluid user experience that allows them to seamlessly and continuously use the app. That’s why having native, in-app support is so important.

Helpshift’s AI powered messaging platform already allows one third of the top grossing mobile apps to provide an exceptional customer service experience for their users. These brands understand the value of offering dedicated support for their mobile users, but many of them also offer multiple support channels.
