What does your day-to-day look like?

My day to day work include three major elements:

  • Analysis, discovery and empathy: I analyze the product and customer data to identify problems that can be solved. I also have to be a customer champion to know which problems are worthy to be solved first.
  • Alignment & collaboration: I collaborate with different teams to drive alignment on key decision points.
  • Documentation: I help document product requirements, roadmap, release plans, etc.

What makes your team stand out at Helpshift?

My team is uniquely positioned to directly impact the growth of the company through continuous product innovation. We play a pivotal role in serving a connection between the engineering and business worlds. We always have to maintain an external and internal perspective to capture the voice of the customer but also align it with Helpshift’s strategy.

Which one of Helpshift’s core values resonates with you most and why?

The core value that resonated the most with me is Own Your Craft with Pride. All my fellow Helpshifters take so much pride in their work that work no longer feels like work! The quality and outcome automatically dictates the care and passion that goes into it.

What has been your favorite remote team-oriented event, and why:

Helpshift’s virtual Hackathon, Hackshift, was my favorite remote team event because people around the world came together and worked relentlessly to make their respective teams win. It also gave me an opportunity to interact with the people I generally don’t work closely with.

How does Helpshift support your WFH environment?

Helpshift has made a lot of efforts in keeping all of us feel connected despite the geographical and time-zone barriers. Town Halls are regularly conducted to maintain transparency with all the employees. Virtual fun & team building activities are frequently conducted to create a jovial atmosphere at work. We were also compensated to set up an office space at home.

What role(s) did you start in at Helpshift and how have you graduated/migrated into different roles:

I have been apart of the Product Management Team since the start of my career at Helpshift. Initially I was responsible to look after the In-App experience, but eventually started managing most of the end user facing channels.

Describe how Helpshift has helped you in your career development:

Every day at Helpshift is a new day. With every problem to solve, there is a different learning experience. I joined Helpshift to hone my product management skills. Helpshift has given me myriad opportunities to make progress in this space.

What’s your favorite thing about working for a tech startup?

To be able to see the impact of your work directly translating into more revenue for the company.

What advice would you have for prospective Helpshift candidates?

What is your proudest moment at Helpshift?

There have been multiple moments and it’s difficult to pick one. Whenever we ship something that customers love, it makes me feel really proud.

How would you describe the company culture and what do you like most about it?

I would describe the company culture as warm, fast paced, fun, and opportunity laden. Each person is accountable for what they do and strive for excellence. People here have varied interests so that you can also learn from each other outside of professional life.

If you could interview one person, dead or alive, who would it be and why:
