Helpshift现在支持繁体中文!We’ve added Traditional Chinese to our growing number of localization options. Engage with the millions of app users in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and beyond.

A little history:

While we previously supported a number of languages right out of the box, we understood the limitations of only supporting Simplified Chinese. I am very happy to report that based on a lot of your feedback and necessity, we now support Traditional Chinese.

How it Works:

Helpshift iOS and Android SDK comes with support for 15 languages out of the box. The latest Android SDK now includes Traditional Chinese with English as the default (iOS is coming next week). To enable Traditional Chinese, simply drag & drop the HSLocalization folder with your supported languages to your project. All languages in the HSLocalization folder will be supported so only include the languages that you wish to support.

The Helpshift SDK will be localized based on the user’s device language. See more information here:

In order to localize your FAQs, you will first have to add Traditional Chinese to your app.

  1. Click on Settings
  2. Click on App Name under App Settings
  3. Click on Add Language
  4. Select Chinese – Traditional from the language drop down menu

After you do this, each FAQ article will now have an option to input a translation for Chinese – Traditional. Edit the FAQ and add the Chinese – Traditional translation.

Our SDK will check the language of the device and will render any applicable translated FAQ to the user.

You will also now be able to create Smart Views to segment Traditional Chinese Issues as well as Automations to perform actions on new Issues which were filed by a Traditional Chinese device.

You will be able to :

  • Choose it from the language dropdown on the Web Support Portal
  • Create Smart Views to segment Chinese (Traditional) Issues
  • Automations to perform actions on new Issues which were filed by a Chinese (Traditional) device
  • See it’s language in metadata
  • See it’s language in Analytics
