A&nbsp;<strong>subprocessor<\/strong>&nbsp;is a third-party data processor engaged by Helpshift who has, potentially will have access to, or who will process Helpshift service data (which may contain personal data). This document goes over who these subprocessors are and how Helpshift engages with each of them to provide our services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Helpshift, security and personal privacy is paramount. Accordingly, we impose data protection terms on each subprocessor that we work with to maintain high security and to enforce data privacy. Details of our data processing policies in relation with the subprocessors we work with can be found in the Helpshift DPA (Data Processing Addendum).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Core Third Party Subprocessors<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Helpshift works with the following third parties to provide specific functionality as part of our services. As part of this functionality, these services have or potentially will have access to or process Helpshift service data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><th><strong>3rd Party<\/strong><\/th><th><strong>Service<\/strong><\/th><th><strong>Purpose<\/strong><\/th><\/tr><tr><td>Amazon, Inc.<\/td><td>Amazon Web Services<\/td><td>Helpshift is built on the Amazon Web service which hosts all production data, and systems that process this data.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Mailgun Technologies, Inc.<\/td><td>Email Processing<\/td><td>For email based support all incoming and outgoing email is processed by the Mailgun messaging engine. These emails contain the support dialog with the end user and may contain personal data.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Apple, Inc.<\/td><td>Apple Push Notification Service (APNS)<\/td><td>Helpshift uses the Apple service to send push notifications for mobile applications that have integrated with the Helpshift IOS SDK. Customers can configure the push messages including an option to not include personal data. Customers can also choose not to use this service.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Google, Inc.<\/td><td>Google Cloud Messaging (GCM)<\/td><td>Helpshift uses the Google push service to send push notifications for mobile applications that have integrated with the Helpshift Android SDK. Customers can configure the push messages including an option to not include personal data. Customers can also choose not to use this service.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Microsoft, Inc.<\/td><td>Windows Push Notification Service (WNS)<\/td><td>Helpshift uses the Windows Notification service to send push notifications for mobile applications that have integrated with the Helpshift Android SDK. Customers can configure the push messages including an option to not include personal data. Customers can also choose not to use this service.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Helpshift also provides optional third party integration services for its customers which are not enabled by default. If the Helpshift Customer wishes to integrate with the following services as part of their Helpshift experience, then these third parties will be additionally termed as \u2018Core Sub-processors\u2019 as per the integration service opted for by the Customer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>3rd Party<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Service<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Purpose<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td rowspan=\"2\"><br><br><br>Meta, Inc.<\/td><td>Facebook integration<\/td><td>Allows the Customer to interact with their End users through Helpshift via the Facebook platform.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>WhatsApp Integration<\/td><td>Allows the Customer to interact with their End users through Helpshift via the WhatsApp platform.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Twilio, Inc.<\/td><td>SMS integration<\/td><td>Allows the Customer to interface with their End users through Helpshift via the medium of SMS.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Discord, Inc.<\/td><td>Discord integration<\/td><td>Allows the Customer to interact with their End users through Helpshift via the WhatsApp platform.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Affiliate Subprocessors<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Helpshift, Inc. is affiliated with Helpshift Technologies Pvt Ltd, in Pune India.
